About This

• The first stage for drinking water systems. Graded density melt blown polypropylene captures sand, silt, dirt and rust before your membrane and carbon stages, protecting them so they last their full life. Four cartridges covers a year to two years at a three to six month change.
• It fits every standard 10 by 2.5 inch housing: RO systems, under sink units, countertop canisters and whole house sumps alike. The actual length is 9-7/8 inches, the standard nominal 10 inch, and it is the same size as P5, FP15, SDC-25-1005, WFPFC5002 and other spun cartridges.
• Graded density means the media is spun loose on the outside and denser toward the core, so coarse grit is held near the surface and finer particles deeper in the wall. The load spreads through the full thickness rather than blinding off one face, which keeps flow steady as it fills.
• This is sediment media, not carbon. It captures sand, silt, dirt, rust and scale particles and does not change the taste or odor of your water. If chlorine taste is why you are filtering, run a carbon cartridge after this one rather than instead of it.
• Whether your home runs on municipal tap water or a private well, the cartridge captures the sand, silt, dirt and rust that cloud water and wear out fixtures and appliances. Replace every three to six months; falling pressure at the taps is the signal rather than a date. CFS is an independent brand, a compatible replacement and not an OEM part.
